Maintenance and service life: getting ten years out of it

Rinse after every job

After a dirty job, run the pump for a few minutes in a bucket of clean water. Lime, sand and cement residue are the impeller's and seals' worst enemies.

Store it dry and coil the cable loosely.

The parts that wear

Seal set (6510112): the first thing to replace on leakage or falling pressure.

Check valve (6510103): make sure it moves freely; a sticking valve lets the hose run back.

Capacitor (6510116): if the motor hums but will not start, this is the usual suspect.

Replacement cable (6510101): a damaged H07-RN-F cable is replaced completely — never spliced or taped.

Winter ready

Leave no water in the pump housing in frost. Ice expands and pushes seals and impeller out of place.

Tilt the pump after use so residual water drains through the top outlet, and store it frost-free.

Why it pays off

Because the SIMER is made in the EU and Contimac keeps parts in stock, a ten-year-old pump is still repairable. That is the real reason it stays a reference in construction.
